Now Canadians can get their online orders in less than a minute

02.11.2018 | Cleveron
Canadian Tire Corporation has installed the pack robot, which makes it possible to offer the best customer experience to its customers.

Canadian Tire is the first Canadian retailer to install Cleveron’s 16-foot Self-Serve Pick-Up Towers which are self-service pickup points where customers can retrieve their online orders in under one minute. The pack robots can be found in five locations across the country in Vancouver, Calgary, Saskatoon and Toronto.

The pack robot acts as a high-tech vending machine. It is an organized storage for online order packages where the client can collect their order without any help from the store staff. They simply enter the order PIN or scan the QR code; the machine locates the correct package and issues it in under one minute.

Cleveron’s robotic solution is also used by Walmart, who has announced that by the end of 2018, there will be 700 Pickup Towers in shops across the USA. Walmart also plans to expand the Pickup Tower service to Canada – Walmart Canada will be piloting two towers at the beginning of January 2019.

Canadian Tire Corporation, Limited, is a family of businesses that includes a Retail segment, a Financial Services division and CT REIT. The retail business is led by Canadian Tire, which was founded in 1922 and provides Canadians with products for life in Canada across its Living, Playing, Fixing, Automotive and Seasonal & Gardening divisions.
